Cross Country 2015

Here are our thoughts on the race yesterday.

When I first started it was scary. I wanted to go home but then I passed Daisy then it was fun. But my hips started to hurt. Then I saw the finish line and it was green. Cerys came first, Millie came second, Lilly came third and I came tenth. I felt proud.

Yesterday we did Cross country and I came 14th. My Dad wanted me to come first. I think next time I might win if I practise then I will get better. When I was going down from the gate I thought if I win I will be really happy.

In Room 1 we practised for Cross Country. I went around the huge field down to the gate around the field again. I liked it practising so much. Shame I did not come because I might have fainted because I was home sick.

A visit from Erika's Mum

Vicki came to Room One today to talk to us about her job. She works at the hospital as an anaesthetist technician. She showed us what would happen if we had to go to hospital for an operation. Vicki read us a book then let us use a stethoscope to check our heartbeats.
Guess what?  We were all alive and well because our hearts were beating!!

She also gave us bandages, special plasters, gas masks, injections, hair nets and shoe covers.
Look at us now!!

Thank you Vicki and Erika, now we know what we will see if we go to hospital for an operation. We will be put to sleep and all fixed up by the Doctors and people like you.

Geometry in Room One

Busy trying to make the most shapes out of twenty sticks.
We named our shapes and also counted the 'perimeter' of each shape.
