Beebots for Maths

As part of our Position and Orientation unit for Maths we tried programming these Beebots. It is a lot harder than you think. Those tricky left and right turns befuddled us at times. Lots of fun though!!

Clive Hits Through the Decades

On Thursday I did the stage performance. it was cool and fantastic! Suddenly we walked onto the stage. It was so quiet then we sang Mrs Murphy's Chowder and Nila WaferTop Hat Time. Then the audience clapped then we practised White Lines. I was so good I was pleased and my Mum and my sister and my Nana. When I drove to my school we walked on because I was later.

On Thursday night my nice parents were proud of me. I was excited about my super performance soldiers! that had a soldier green paper helmet. For the marching I did great. The stage was big. We had long hours for the Finale. At home they were proud of me.

My beautiful hat is painted. I am ready for the Show. When I came in I saw my Mum. my Mum liked me doing up and downs with my hat. My Mum said you are good at doing that, Wow!

On Thursday night it was the frightening performance!! I was in the red train and one of the tough All Blacks. We sang annoying Mrs Murphy's Chowder and the funny Nila Wafer TopHat Time. it started to be fun. I made a colourful top hat.

When I was making my delicate helmet it was really hard because my buddy Tom was doing something wild. I was working hard. Finally I got to the painting. The colour was dark green. I enjoyed painting my cool helmet. When Thursday night came there were heaps of excited parents. The six year olds were in the front. The eight year olds were in the back. I was a little bit nervous. We marched onto the stage. We had a kitbag and we swung them up at the first part. My Mum thought that it was great.

Last Thursday night everyone did a nice performance for the parents and my one was the 1940's. When I first started it was a bit scary but then I got the hang of it and the girls used hoes instead of guns.

I drove to the Performance with my family. I felt scared but... It was cool. I danced and I liked the big Top Hat. It was on Thursday night. I hurt my ankle.

On Friday I did the Top Hat performance. My cool parents thought it was terrific!!!!! then we went to yummy Burger King for dinner. I felt happy. I made my Top Hat out of cardboard. I was glad I went.

On Thursdsy night we did our exciting performance. Everyone came to the Performance. My cool Mum and cool Dad cheered for me. I smiled. At the end we walked down the middle of our Mum and Dad. Then we went back and sang White Line then we went home. I felt proud Mum said she is proud too. Dad said coolas man. I laughed Lauren laughed too and Mum laughed too.

My hat was a Tophat and is beautiful. It is painted. I was happy. The parents and my Mum were happy.

On Thursday night and Friday we did the big Performance. I felt nervous and when we were going back to class I couldn't see because the light was too far away. Good I got to class. Everyone loved my cardboard top hat! My colours on my top hat are blue and black. My Mum and Dad loved my top hat. when I got home I still felt nervous.

On Friday we had a gigantic performance. I made a paper mâché helmet. When I was on stage I felt frustrated but then I was happy at the end.

Last Friday and Thursday I had a performance. I felt shy through the whole thing. My Mum and Dad came to the performance they loved it so much! The 1940's had kitbag and guns and brownish green helmets. My Mum and Dad felt so proud of me. My Inquiry buddy is Oliver he is an awesome buddy.

Aqui was the teacher in Room One

The light needed fixing so up the man went and we
watched his every move, he felt like a movie star 
when we clapped at the end!!





Beep! Beep! Beep! A small crane was fixing the white broken light. 
It was cool bz bz bz the man put a new red light in.

On Monday there was a blue crane. The heavy crane came to Clive School.
The tall crane is coming to Clive School to fix the tall light. 
The crane rises up into the air. The clean man fixed the light very fast.

Today a crane came to Clive School to fix our light up on the pole.
Other rooms came and watched the crane go up.

Relays for fitness

We are getting ready for our Cross Country race by getting in lots of running and action to get our hearts racing and lungs deep breathing.









Cross Country 2015

Here are our thoughts on the race yesterday. 

When I first started it was scary. I wanted to go home but then I passed Daisy then it was fun. But my hips started to hurt. Then I saw the finish line and it was green. Cerys came first, Millie came second, Lilly came third and I came tenth. I felt proud.

Yesterday we did Cross country and I came 14th. My Dad wanted me to come first. I think next time I might win if I practise then I will get better. When I was going down from the gate I thought if I win I will be really happy.

When it was Cross Country I came eleventh! I ran on the green muddy grass. I ran to the dark green gate and back again. I heard my Mum cheering for me. I ran alot faster at the end.

I didn't win in the Cross Country. It is not fun at the Cross Country. I cried. We ran one race but Tamihana ran two laps. He is very fast.

On the day of the fun Cross Country I had to wait. Finally it was our turn. Bang! off we ran faster and faster down to the metal gray gate. At last there was the finish line Tye won, Max came second and I came third.

Yesterday I had an humungous race. I had a nasty hayfever. I came second and it felt sore! It was fun. The dark fence was green and it was short.

On the huge day of the Cross Country I passed Chance and Lexi. I was in the 6 year old group. I controlled my body super fast. When we stopped I came 6th. The yellow sun was shining. We exercised before we ran.

On Wednesday it was the Cross Country day. When Mrs Cornelius said Go! I jogged the whole way. When I got to the end I came fourth and I loved it.

Kapa Haka

On Wednesday mornings we go to the Hall and do Kapa Haka with Mr Bassett.
